Burglary

Three juveniles suspects entered Dale Hardware and stole a tool used to break car windows.  The suspects fled in a green 2011 Ford Fiesta (6TDZ040), which was found to be stolen out of Oakland.  Officer N. Johnson handled the investigation. Suspect Descriptions:  #1 black male dressed in a black shirt and black pants; #2 Hispanic male dressed in a gray baseball cap, blue hoodie, and #3 Hispanic male with a plaid scarf and a black hat. 

Fremont Vehicle Theft 
A 1999 Honda Accord was stolen off the 46500 block of Paseo Padre Parkway. 

 Fremont BailDriving on a Suspended License Arrest  

Officer Madsen conducted a traffic stop on a 23 year old adult male driver near Thornton Ave and Fremont Blvd.  The driver was cited for having a suspended license.  

  Public Intoxication Arrest in Fremont - Bail out of Santa Rita Jail 

Officer Perry arrested a 51 year old adult male for public intoxication and booked him into Santa Rita Jail. 
 Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance Arrest

Officer Nordseth arrested a 36 year old adult female for being under the influence of a controlled substance after responding to a disturbance call on Oak Street. He was booked into the Fremont jail.

Theft Warrant Arrest

Officer Torrico Arrested a 30 year old adult female for a $2,000 theft warrant. She was booked into the Fremont jail.

Incidents 254 Reports 33

 Traffic Control

Tesla management had a scheduled job fair today, which was announced via social media.  Tesla anticipated approximately 500 job seekers would participate.  Unfortunately, thousands attempted to attend, which overwhelmed the area around Tesla.  The roadways affected included Fremont Blvd, Grimmer Blvd, and Highway 880.  Traffic on Hwy 880 was so impacted that motorist’s started parking on the shoulder and walking to Tesla.  Fremont Blvd. was lined with vehicles from Grimmer Blvd. to Hwy 880.  CHP requested assistance as disturbances between motorists began to occur on Hwy 880.  Pedestrians were also found walking about the roadway on Fremont Blvd.  By 9:30, Tesla ended the job fair.  Five Officers were dedicated to traffic control for approximately three hours. Sergeants Snelson and Dang managed our response.

 Stolen vehicle Recover and Marijuana Grow

Officer Stark and FTO Magana received a LoJack hit on a 2005 BMW X5, stolen out of San Jose, which led them to the 4400 block of Central Ave.  Contact was made at the residence where two subjects were detained.  The BMW was recovered from the garage via a search warrant authored by Officer  Stark.  A marijuana grow was also found inside the residence.  San Jose PD will conduct follow-up on the recovered vehicle and Major Crimes will be following-up on the marijuana grow.  Sergeants Crandall and O’Connell managed this incident.

 Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle

While entering Hwy 880  at Fremont Blvd. (south) on Thursday night (05/01), a motorist heard a loud bang and later found apparent bullet holes in his vehicle.  The incident was reported today and Officer Ceniceros documented it in a report.

 Paraphernalia and Warrants Arrests

Officer Collins and FTO Kwok conducted a traffic enforcement stop at Motel 6 (north) and contacted a 46 year old adult female, Hayward resident, and a 51 year old adult male, Hayward resident.  The female half was on probation with a search clause and the male half had two outstanding warrants.  A search of their vehicle revealed drug paraphernalia.  The  female was arrested for paraphernalia and the male was arrested for two outstanding misdemeanor warrants. Booked into the Fremont jail.

Commercial Burglary Arrest

Officer Stillitano followed up on his burglary case from Marshall's on April 30th and authored a search and Ramey warrant.  Officer Stillitano served the search warrant on E Street in Hayward this afternoon with other Zone 1 officers.  The suspect, an 18 year old adult female, Hayward resident was not present at the time of the warrant service, but Officer Stillitano was able to recover multiple purses from the original burglary.  Officer Stillitano tracked down the 18 year old to her place of employment in Pleasanton and arrested her for commercial burglary.  Officer Stillitano likely disrupted an organized theft ring. Booked into the Santa Rita jail.

 Robbery Arrest

Officer Huiskens was dispatched to a call of a robbery near the intersection of Peralta Ave. and Bouquet Trerrace.  The suspect pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded her iPhone.  The suspect fled in and older gray four-door, similar to a Honda or Toyota, which was occupied by two other adult males.  The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 23-24 years old, 5’5” tall with a stocky build.  He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans.   

 Public Drunkenness

Officer Meredith was detailed to a possibly drunk male in the area of Fremont and Eugene.  Officer Meredith responded and located the male who was too intoxicated to care for his own safety and was taken into custody. Booked into the Fremont jail. Bail bond pending.

 Recovered Stolen Vehicle and Recovered Stolen Property

Officer Meredith was detailed to the area of Stevenson Blvd. and Leslie St. to check for a stolen vehicle.  The victim had been in Great America and had her purse stolen earlier in the day.  Inside her purse were her keys and two iPhones.   After filing the theft report, the victim went to the parking lot and found that her car had also been taken.  After getting home, the victim used the "Where’s My iPhone app" and found one of the phones was showing to be in the area of Stevenson Blvd. and Leslie.  Officers responded and located the stolen vehicle.  Due to the large number of apartments, they could not determine where the phones were.  About 3:00 a.m., two 17 year old male juveniles entered the car and were placed under arrest.   Both suspects were in possession of one of the stolen iPhones.  Vehicle and phones were recovered.

 Outside Assist Report/ Stabbing

Officers were detailed to Canyon Oaks Ct. regarding a male knocking on a door, asking for help.  The male advised the resident that he had been stabbed.   Upon arriving Officer Perry located the male who had stab wounds to his upper body.  A female suspect stabbed him and then also took his blue Mercedes and fled the area.  The male was treated by Paramedics Plus and transported to the hospital.  The incident took place at the Niles staging area, which is East Bay Regional Parks jurisdiction.  EBRPPD responded and took over the investigation. The injuries did not appear life threatening.
